Breathe & Bloom: Where Flowers, Creativity and Wellbeing Meet

4 min read

I have always loved flowers. Their colors, shapes, and scents have a way of lifting my spirits and sparking my creativity. For years, floristry was a big part of my life. I spent countless hours arranging blooms, experimenting with new designs, and sharing that joy with others. It was a time filled with beauty and inspiration, and I truly loved every moment of it.

Since stepping away from floristry, I have missed that creative outlet deeply. The chance to work with my hands, to focus on something beautiful, and to share that experience with others felt like a special kind of magic. That longing planted the seed for Breathe & Bloom, a place where I could bring together my love of flowers and my work in hypnotherapy.

How Breathe & Bloom Came About

The idea for Breathe & Bloom grew from a simple wish: to create something people can enjoy without the pressure of fixing a problem. Not every experience has to be about solving an issue or overcoming a challenge. Sometimes, we just need to slow down, breathe, and enjoy the moment.

By combining my floristry experience with my hypnotherapy work, I wanted to offer a small, relaxed experience where creativity and wellbeing meet. Breathe & Bloom is a space where you can unwind, connect with nature, and tap into your creative side—all while gently relaxing your mind and body.

What Breathe & Bloom Offers

Breathe & Bloom is a gentle, seasonal experience designed to help you relax and enjoy creativity. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Seasonal Flowers: We work with what is beautiful, seasonal, and plentiful. This means every session is unique, with fresh blooms that reflect the time of year.

  • Creativity: You’ll get to create your own flower arrangement, using your hands to focus your attention on something enjoyable.

  • Bubbles and Nibbles: To make the experience even more special, we offer bubbles and pretty grazing boards to enjoy while you relax.

  • My Garden: The sessions take place in my garden, a peaceful spot decorated with fairy lights and filled with flowers. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, there’s a cozy indoor option.

  • Gentle Relaxation and Hypno-Meditation: I guide you through a gentle relaxation or hypno-meditation to help you slow down and breathe deeply.

  • Something Beautiful to Take Home: At the end, you’ll have a lovely flower arrangement to brighten your space and remind you of your time to breathe and bloom.

Why Creativity and Relaxation Belong Together

Creativity and relaxation go hand in hand. When you use your hands to create, you focus your mind on the present moment. This helps quiet busy thoughts and gives you permission to slow down. It’s a break from screens and distractions, a chance to reconnect with yourself.

Different people relax in different ways. For some, it’s reading a book or taking a walk. For others, it’s creating something with their hands. Breathe & Bloom offers a gentle way to relax that suits many people, especially those who find peace in nature and creativity.

My Approach to Hypnosis

In my hypnotherapy work, I’ve learned that there isn’t one “right” way to experience hypnosis. Some people visualize images, others notice sensations, emotions, sounds, or thoughts. Some simply feel a quiet sense of knowing. This makes hypnosis accessible to everyone, without the pressure to “see” or imagine anything specific.

At Breathe & Bloom, I bring this same gentle, open approach to relaxation. You don’t have to do anything “right.” Just be present, breathe, and enjoy the moment.

The Garden Setting

The garden is a key part of the Breathe & Bloom experience. It’s a calm, welcoming space filled with flowers and soft fairy lights. There’s somewhere comfortable to sit and breathe deeply. Sometimes, we even add flower-filled ice cubes to drinks for a playful touch.

The garden helps you feel connected to nature, which supports relaxation and creativity. If the weather isn’t kind, we move indoors to a cozy, flower-filled space that still feels peaceful and inviting.

Seasonal Flowers and Their Importance

Using seasonal flowers means every Breathe & Bloom session is fresh and different. I don’t use the same flowers every time. Instead, I choose what is beautiful, seasonal, and plentiful. This keeps the experience connected to the natural rhythms of the year and makes each session special.

Seasonal flowers also tend to be more vibrant and longer-lasting. They bring a natural beauty that feels authentic and alive.

Why You Should Give Yourself Permission to Slow Down

In our busy lives, it’s easy to forget to slow down. We rush from one task to the next, often glued to screens and distracted by endless thoughts. Breathe & Bloom invites you to pause, breathe, and focus on something simple and beautiful.

Using your hands to create helps you stay present. It’s a form of mindfulness that doesn’t require sitting still or clearing your mind completely. Instead, it gently guides your attention to the here and now.

This kind of relaxation is not about fixing a problem. It’s about giving yourself space to breathe and bloom.

Breathe & Bloom is more than just a flower workshop. It’s a small, relaxed experience where flowers, creativity, and wellbeing come together. Whether you want to reconnect with your creative side, enjoy a peaceful moment, or simply take home something beautiful, this is a place for you.

If you’re curious to learn more or want to join a session, feel free to reach out. Sometimes, the best way to find calm is to stop, breathe, and let yourself bloom.

This post is inspired by my journey combining floristry and hypnotherapy to create a unique space for relaxation and creativity.
